OUR AIMS
Photography
Technology
We are a group of camera enthusiasts who have joined together the aim of helping people of all ages and experience get the most out of their cameras plus the associated technology surrounding photos and the Internet.
Many of our members have DSLR cameras and a lot of the discussion is aimed at their use but we have members with all types of digital cameras.
Subjects include using the camera, camera settings, photo composition, accessories studio work and video. These subjects are revisited regularly for new starters and to allow more experienced members the opportunity to expand their knowledge and portfolio.
All members have the opportunity (and are actively encouraged) to suggest topics for inclusion into the events that are covered.
Wherever possible the topics have a practical, 'hands on' approach including outings to local sites. The club also meets regularly in Middlewich, Cheshire to discuss topics and watch presentations.
In this day and age, photography and technology go hand in hand. Our club acknowledges this and is keen to bring its members opportunities to explore and experience technology in all of its forms.
Subjects include photographic processing software, computer hardware and software, mobile phones, current trends and social media. We are keen to inform members of the wide range of facilities available on the internet which may be of use to them. Also to demonstrate and, wherever possible, support their use of software.
Members are supported and encouraged to:
-
bring their own expertise to the group and share experience
-
make use of photo-processing software
-
use different forms of social media to meet their needs
The club meets regularly in Middlewich, Cheshire to discuss topics and watch presentations from both group members and external professionals.
What does it cost?
Great news! We are a not-for-profit charity. There is a small charge for attending the regular club meetings to pay for room hire, tea and coffee. This is currently £4.00 per person for each meeting. Outings are usually free but occasionally there maybe an admission charge, depending on our destination. See rules of membership for more details.
We are always keen to hear from companies and other contacts that maybe willing to either support and/or sponsor us or donate time and/or equipment which maybe of use to our club members. If you feel you could be of help please use our CONTACT US page.
